4-H Summer Camp

This page is for those who have pre-registered for the 2021 Summer 4-H Camp.

Thank you for pre-registering for the 4-H Summer Day camp at Lamar Dixon on June 9th, 2021!  We are very excited to have you join in the fun!  To finalize your camp registration, please complete the following steps below and review all of the attachments to be prepared for the best camp experience possible.  The deadline for online registration and forms to be turned into the office is May 15th.


Registration Checklist:

1. Visit https://fs10.formsite.com/lsuagcenter/Ascen-St-Jam-St-Cha-EBR/index.html to complete the online Camp Registration required by Camp Grant Walker Staff by May 15th. 


2. Complete and submit the health form to the St. James Parish 4-H office by May 15th.  The health form is a HIPPA document and cannot be sent by email.  Please plan to submit it to the office in person or through your child’s school club leader.  These forms are attached or can be found at https://www.lsuagcenter.com/topics/kids_teens/resources/forms. 3. Thoroughly review the attached Parent Info Guide, Packing list  and Camp Schedule to ensure you are prepared for camp.


Helpful Information:

  • The camp will be conducted at Lamar Dixon Expo Center.  The exact building locations of drop-off/pick-up will be announced as we get closer to the event.  Transportation is not provided. 

  • Drop off time on June 9th will be 8:00 am – 8:45 am

  • Strict Pick-Up time on June 9th will be 4:30 pm- 5:00 pm.

  • Strict COVID guidelines will be followed at camp.  Campers will be required to social distance and wear a 3ply facial covering for the duration of the camp. 

  • Campers will be required to go through a brief health screen of simple questions and temperature taken at drop-off.

  • Most camp events will be conducted outdoors.  Campers will participate in the Outdoor skills tract, which includes archery. 

  • Dress for the outdoors!  Shorts must be an appropriate length and NO spaghetti straps or strapless shirts, crop tops, or huge arm cutouts.  Tank tops are allowed but must have appropriate coverage. Please keep your school’s free dress day guidelines in mind when dressing for camp!  Closed-toe shoes are required.  Attached is a packing list to help prepare for your day camp experience!  Hats and sunscreen are encouraged! 

  • Cell phones will not be needed or allowed during the camp.  We are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or broken cell phones.

  • 2 snacks, a jambalaya lunch with a soft drink, and 3 bottles of water will be provided.  If you feel like your child will need additional water please feel free to send a bottle.  Also if other food arrangements need to be made due to food allergies, please notify us ASAP, but no later than 2 weeks before the event.


If any special ADA accommodations are needed, please notify us at least 2 weeks before the event.
